Jobstick research has developed several breakthroughs in matching technology. These advances enable our core matching engine to deliver powerful matching for all of our products.
Talent/Job Matching Engine
Using profiles to match people with jobs
Profile matching technology evaluates a candidate's entire profile against a full job profile to calculate an extremely accurate match score. Candidate profiles start with the normal contents of a resume – education and work experience – and add information about the person's skill-sets, proficiences, and personal job preferences. Job profiles similarly include all the needs of the job, with none of the verbal fluff of a textual job description. Armed with comprehensive information about both candidate and job, Jobstick's matching engine can deliver superior matches for all users.
Benefits of profile matching:
- Hiring managers can quickly identify the right employees to fill open positions, without having to manually review a pile of resumes.
- Recruiters can focus on the top talent, without wasting time sifting through unqualified candidates.
- Applicants can build their profiles and be guided to the perfect job - no need to search through long listings of text-heavy job descriptions.

Intelligent matching using real-world knowledge
Jobstick has built a vast database of skills used in a wide range of industries. Jobstick's matching engine understands the inter-relationships between the various skills within an industry, allowing for intelligent inferences about qualifications.
For example, Jobstick's matching engine understands that within the IT industry, there are relationships between certain programming languages, so experience in one language translates into a partial match score for another – e.g., someone with C# experience will show up for a C++ job. Even though the person might not be a perfect match, they still have comparable skills that might qualify them for the position.
